Wear a flower in you hair. Mug Root Beer is a Born and Breed California Root Beer

Mug Root Beer is a brand name of root beer made by the New Century Beverage Company of San Francisco, California, a subsidiary of the Pepsi company. It was originally produced by the Belfast Beverage Company in San Francisco, California, during the 1940s as Belfast Root Beer.

via where is mug root beer made – Google Search.

I once tried to find out where Mug is made. According to my research its made in Bakersfield, California. Thomas Kemper is made in Berkely, California, but it originally is from Portland, Oregon. Virgil’s is also a California root beer, made in Los Angeles. Old Mug root beer is sold with Pepsi, so if you go to a Hard Rock Cafe, like my favorite at Pier 39 on the San Francisco wharf, you will be served Mug. If you go to a restaurant and Coke is sold you will get Barq’s. It wasn’t always that way. Apparently, Coke had a contract with Dad’s root beer, which was originally from Chicago, now Monarch Soda Company, which sells Bubble Up, sells
Dad’s. A&W still is king, which was first sold in Lodi, California in 1919 to celebrate hometown WWI vets for the 4th of July in 1919.

Im watching the Yankees in Boston, who are playing the Red Sox. The score is 6 to 4, New York Yankees. What root beer is sold in Yankee Statium? Mug

How do I know that? New York Yankee Statium which cost over $2 Billion to build has its own
Hard Rock Cafe. Isn’t that insane!

According to the Boston Consession Guide there is a Coca Cola Deck, which means the Red Sox sell Barq’s Root Beer. That makes sense with the two teams rivals. The New York Yankees sell a California root beer. Joe DiMaggio was from Martinez, California, the San Francisco area, so its neat that they sell a California root beer.

The Red Sox should sell Ted Williams Root Beer!

Most of our fans are aware of our belief that the New England soft drink, Moxie, is in fact a “Root Beer”. What some of our fans may also know is that Boston Red Sox Legend, Ted Williams, was the official endorser of our favorite stout root beer. However, what you may not know is that Moxie.. and Ted.. endorsed another brew. (The Root Beer Brothers) Blog

Sadly, Ted Williams root beer isnt made anymore. 😦

Root Beers come and go and they change their names, like the Belfast Beverage Company. There is a Belfast company from Belfast, Maine. So if you Google it you will find a different
company all together.

Drink Up!
